If you cross the border at Roosendaal to Belgium, towards Essen, you soon come across the sign of Kalmthout. This Kalmthout is a nice, typical Belgium village that is a perfect place to go for an afternoon out.

It's an amazing place in the North of Belgium with the touristic highlight 'The heath land of Kalmthout'. Kalmthout, the place of birth of Spike and Suzy. (Willy and Wanda)

But the most beautiful is a visit at the estate 'De Markgraaf'. The place where Jan Rijsdijk lives, a former director of the harbor of Rotterdam. He is the one that demolished the former castle and rebuilded it stone by stone to become an amazing castle.
